2009 ACYC Spring Series Race Information...

1. Calendar for June and July 2009 (confirmed):
2. June 13^th:  Race four of Spring Series
3. June 27^th:  Cruise to Benicia and Race Back on Sunday
4. July 4^th: Cruise to Potato Slough; some members are planning to go to Mandeville
5. July 25^th: Makeup race for Spring Series.

Andreas Cove Yacht Club (ACYC) will hold its' annual Spring Series Race Series on five dates beginning on Saturday April 24, 2009 and (see dates below)ending on Saturday July 25, 2009.  If you are new to the sport of sailboat racing this is a great way to learn. 

Five race days; one (or more) races per day. Scoring will be a modified PHRF.  The modifications will only affect Spinnaker fliers and Race Boats vs Cruisers (to be explained at skippers meeting).  There will be a three-race, (not race days), throw out.

If you are new to the sport of sailboat racing this is a great way to learn.  The lessons you will learn here are exciting and valuable and you will have lots of fun.  Please stop by and inquire, we are a friendly bunch and you are always welcome at the ClubHouse.  We always need new sailors to participate with or without a boat.  Try it you might like it.

Cost: $40.00 for the entire series; or $10.00 per race day for both members and non-members.   This race is open to everyone, ACYC members and non-members

All races are held on Saturdays.  The skippers meetings will begin at 9:30AM at the ACYC Clubhouse (see the map on the Home page).  The races will begin at approximtely11:30am each race day.

Race Day #2  Saturday  Two Races (rescheduled) to June 16, 2009 — Skippers meeting@ 9:30AM/ Race @ 11:30AM - There will be an Open House & BBQ held at the ACYC ClubHouse after the Race.

Race Day #3  - Saturday May 30, 2009— Skippers meeting@ 9:30AM/ Race @ 11:30AM.  Do Not miss this Race and the after Race festivities..... there will be BBQ on the deck, bring your own and enjoy the after-race social events at the Club!

 Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers.
